Connected Community

Visitors Welcome! Please download the Reformation Church App!
As a gift to all our visitors, we’ve designed a visitor-friendly church app that can be downloaded right now and instantly from the App Store or Google Play. Just search for “Reformation Church App” and it comes up. After you download and open it, please fill in the “Connect Card” so we can follow up with you. And, when you have a chance, you’ll notice that we’ve selected 10 sermons (first item in the “sermons” tab) that you can start listening to get a flavor for Reformation’s preaching and teaching.

From Now Through January 2018 As always, there is a lot going on during the holiday season. Below is an overview of what’s going on at Reformation from now through January of the New Year.
s
Sunday, November 26 – Pastor Jon is exchanging pulpits with Pastor Drew Eenigenburg of West Sayville Reformed Bible Church (wsrbc.org). This is the church that always invites us to their Summer Seafood Fest & October Bible Conference. On November 26, Pastor Jon will preach there and Pastor Drew will preach here.
s
Sunday, December 3 – Pastor Bill Shishko will lead worship, preach, and teach the Adult Bible School.
s
Sundays, December 10, 17, 24 – Pastor Jon will be preaching three sermons on the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. Invite those who may not otherwise come!
s
Wednesday, Dec. 20 – Keith & Kristyn Getty & Joni Eareckson Tada
We live in an age where God has so worked that some of our very own hymn-writers are on concert at Carnegie Hall in NYC. Consider attending this extraordinary concert in which Joni Eareckson Tada will be a special guest.
s
Sunday Evening, December 24 (Christmas Eve) – Franklin Square OPC has invited us to join them at their special Christmas Eve service. Pastor Jon is joining Pastor Lloyd Sterrett in leading the service. Again, invite those who may not usually want to come to church.
s
Sunday, December 31 – Pastor Jon will be preaching a sermon to orient us towards the new year of 2018.
s
Sunday Evening, December 31 (New Year’s Eve) – Pastor Drew Eenigenburg & West Sayville Reformed Bible Church have invited us to their Special New Year’s Eve service in which there will be a public reading of the entire book of Revelation. Pastor Jon is joining Pastor Drew in leading the service.
s
Saturday, January 6 Radio Show, 12-1pm – Pastor Jon Shishko is guest-hosting A Visit to the Pastor’s Study. He is interviewing Pastor Mike Kytka of Ascension Presbyterian Church in Forrest Hills. They are going to talk about Pastor Mike’s recent trip to Israel and why he has organized the July 2-10, 2018 trip (to which we have been invited).
s
Sunday, January 28 Annual Congregational Meeting for 2018 – This is the traditional time for our Annual Congregational Meeting. All necessary materials for consideration will be distributed in advance of this meeting.

Volunteers Needed!
As we meet more people from our church neighborhood, we are beginning to see more and more ways in which we can serve. ESL classes, weekly bible studies, assistance in overcoming addictions, and more regular SnoCone outreach in Fresh Meadows Playground are just some ways we can be more involved. Please pray about this and ask how you can be better used of God to reach out to our church neighborhood. Continue to pray, “Our Father….Your will be done in Queens, even as it is in heaven.”
