Devotional

MONDAY, APRIL 9 – SUNDAY, APRIL 15, 2018 (WK 15)

During each week of 2018, a (1) devotional consisting of a reading (or listening) from Scripture, a (2) New City Catechism question and answer (newcitycatechism.com), a (3) primary scripture passage behind that Q&A and a scripture to consider in prayer, a (4) prayer project for the week, and then finally, a (5) song of the month, will be posted to queensreformation.org/devotional and to the “Devotional” portion of the Reformation Church App. On each Sunday following the devotional, the New City Catechism Q&A and the song of the month (or a song from a previous month) will be used during morning worship service.

  • Read

Or listen to Bible Reading for the day in the Reformation Church App (Exodus 39-40, Leviticus 1-5, John 7-9, Psalm 50-52, Proverbs 15:19-33).

Take a few minutes and watch this overview of Leviticus:

  • Memorize

Since no one can keep the law, what is its purpose?  (Kidz Memory in Blue)

That we may know the holy nature and will of God, and the sinful nature and disobedience of our hearts; and thus our need of a Savior. The law also teaches and exhorts us to live a life worthy of our Savior.

    Meditate

Romans 3:20 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned.
