Private: Devotional

NOVEMBER 26 – December 2, 2017, WK 48

During each week of 2017, a (1) devotional consisting of a reading (or listening) from Scripture, a (2) New City Catechism question and answer (, a (3) primary scripture passage behind that Q&A and a scripture to consider in prayer, a (4) prayer project for the week, and then finally, a (5) song of the month, will be posted to and to the “Devotional” portion of the Reformation Church App. On each Sunday following the devotional, the New City Catechism Q&A and the song of the month (or a song from a previous month) will be used during morning worship service.

Or listen to Bible Reading for the day in the Reformation Church App (Ezekiel 30-36, Hebrews 12:3-13:25, James 1-5, Psalm 136:10 – 138:8, Proverbs 30:11-31).

What is the church? (Kidz Memory in Blue)

God chooses and preserves for himself a community elected for eternal life and united by faith, who love, follow, learn from, and worship God together. God sends out this community to proclaim the gospel and prefigure Christ’s kingdom by the quality of their life together and their love for one another.

  • 3. Meditate

2 Thessalonians 2:13: We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.
