MONDAY, APRIL 23 – SUNDAY, APRIL 29, 2018 (WK 17)

During each week of 2018, a (1) devotional consisting of a reading (or listening) from Scripture, a (2) New City Catechism question and answer (, a (3) primary scripture passage behind that Q&A and a scripture to consider in prayer, a (4) prayer project for the week, and then finally, a (5) song of the month, will be posted to and to the “Devotional” portion of the Reformation Church App. On each Sunday following the devotional, the New City Catechism Q&A and the song of the month (or a song from a previous month) will be used during morning worship service.

  • Read

Or listen to Bible Reading for the day in the Reformation Church App (Leviticus 13:29-18:30, John 13-17, Psalm 56-58, Proverbs 16:15-28). Take a few minutes and watch this overview of John 13-21:

  • Memorize

What is idolatry? (Kidz Memory in Blue)

Idolatry is trusting in created things rather than the Creator for our hope and happiness, significance and security.

Romans 1:21, 25 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened…They exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator.
